Obsidian is for small and medium businesses that make, sell or import goods, with setups for made-to-order work and for importers and traders. You start from a ready-made setup for your kind of business and change it in settings as you grow. It is designed to be as easy to use as a phone app.
Made-to-Order Shops
Take the order and the deposit, move the job through design and production, deliver it and get paid. This setup comes first.
Importers and Traders
Buy in US dollars, follow each import until it is in stock, and sell in birr. This setup comes after the made-to-order one.

Your Team Sees the Business, Not the Paperwork
Orders, jobs, stock and money move through clear steps. Obsidian keeps the stock and the accounts behind each step in order, so nobody has to fill in accounting forms.
One Button for the Next Step
Every order shows its stage and what comes next, as one main button. Stages carry a colour for their state, so you can see at a glance what is moving and what needs you.
When something blocks the way, like a deposit that isn't paid yet, Obsidian says so in plain words and offers the step that clears it first.

Books That Keep Themselves
Taking a deposit, delivering goods or recording a payment updates the order, the stock and the accounts together, or not at all. A double tap or a retry still records once.
Recorded entries are never edited. A mistake is fixed with a reversing entry you can trace, and a closed month stays closed.
